Managing Education Expenses With Everyday Purchases
By St Mary Administrator @ 9:24 AM :: 158 Views :: Article Rating :: Port Catholic School News
The next time you fill up your car, buy groceries, pick up the newest best seller, have to have that perfect lure, or update your wardrobe make these purchases really count. Use Scrip. By using Scrip, pre-paid gift cards purchased through a national tuition reduction program, for many of your normal purchases you can lower your educational expenses to any accredited education institution that charges tuition. This includes pre-school, elementary school, high school and college. If you purchase Scrip through Port Catholic, you have the added benefit of helping Port Catholic.

SCRIP is a national tuition reduction program. Dozens of local and national businesses participate in this program by giving a certain percentage of any purchase made with Scrip “dollars”, back to the institution that sold the Scrip. That institution, in this instance Port Catholic, then receives a check for the purchase percentage. If you purchase something use Scrip, half of that money goes into your Scrip account and half of that money goes to Port Catholic.

Unraveling the Mystery of Tuition Assistance
By St Mary Administrator @ 9:23 AM :: 145 Views :: Article Rating :: Port Catholic School News
Faith-based education is within reach. Despite the rising cost of living, faith-based education is still possible if you know where to look. Port Catholic School provides education opportunities for all children within its religious community through its Tuition Assistance Program.

Port Catholic’s Tuition Assistance Program gives families that would struggle to pay or are unable to pay current tuition rates, the opportunity to provide their child with a faith-based education at Port Catholic. Port Catholic’s philosophy is that no child within the Port Catholic religious community will be turned away because of cost. Today, Port Catholic’s religious community includes St. Mary’s, St. Peter’s, Immaculate Conception, St. Mary’s Lake Church, and St. Rose.

Farming and Faith “A poor person’s field may produce abundant food, but injustice sweeps it away.” (Prov. 13:23).
