“As members of the Catholic community, we enter the public forum to act on our moral convictions, share our experience in serving the poor and vulnerable, and add our values to the dialog over our nation’s future “(US Bishops, Faithful Citizenship, 1999)
On March 13, 2007, join Catholics from across the state as we gather in the State Capitol to learn more about the Church’s call to faithful citizenship and to take our message directly to our elected representatives. Registrations now underway for Catholics at the Capitol 2007! It runs from 9:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The cost is $30 which includes breakfast and lunch. Breakout sessions include healthcare, abortion, biotechnology, criminal justice, immigration, homelessness and poverty.
