The Dynamic Duo

Mark & Cathy Schowalter were honored recently as Port Catholic’s 2007 Volunteers of the Year. The Schowalters have devoted countless hours of their time over the last eight years to Port Catholic. Cathy regularly fills in as school secretary for both campuses, puts together the Wednesday folders for all school families, and makes copies for teachers. Additionally, Cathy and has performed lunch room duty for eight years at St. Mary’s campus and at both campuses for three of those years. Mark, Cathy’s husband, fills in for lunch duty when Cathy is unavailable. We can honestly say he wins “best dressed” volunteer as he performs lunch duty in a business suit. No matter what the Schowalters do, they are quite a team and Port Catholic is lucky to have them! Mark & Cathy Schowalter with their 2007 Volunteers of the Year Plaques presented at a St. Mary’s school mass.
