The Ecumenical and Interfaith Office at the archdiocese has received a proclamation from Wisconsin governor Jim Doyle stating that December 10th is Human Rights Day, designated by the United Nations. It is the 58th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Since Wisconsin has a rich history of interfaith and multi-faith coalitions, dialogues and activities, Governor Doyle has proclaimed December 4th-10th as Interfaith Awareness Week in Wisconsin and encourages citizens to learn more about each others’ beliefs in the spirit of community.
