Learning About L.I.F.E.

Parents said this about Learning about L.I.F.E. …”It opened discussion with my son.”; “Proactive”; “It was done in a non-threatening, non-judging way.”; “Gave me words to continue talking.”; “Thanks for giving me this time. We need to make time for this in our busy lives.”; “Well done!” Teens said this…”It makes a lot of sense.”; “This setting made it comfortable to talk about some uncomfortable issues.”; “I liked being alone with my parent.”; “Sexual abuse, it’s not your fault…”

The following sessions are scheduled for both parent and child. Learning about L.I.F.E* is a ministry that harnesses a parent’s love to teach their child about healthy relationships and protect against unhealthy ones. These sessions are an approved option to fulfill the U.S. Bishop’s document that requires all children and youth to receive abuse prevention education annually.

We look forward to all parish parents with children/youth attending these short, upcoming sessions listed below. If you have questions please contact Maureen Rotramel, Youth Minister, at 284-2102 ext 15 or portyouth@catholic.org; Denise Murre, Child minister, at 284-5771 or portchild@archmil.org or visit www.learningaboutlife.org for more information regarding the program content.
