Children’s Corner 10/21/07

The answer is Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
This week Jesus tells us about a judge and a persistent widow, the judge finally gives in if for no other reason than he got sick of the nagging. This is not to say that we should nag God, we do not need to, he loves us and is always glad to hear our prayers. However, Jesus does tell us to be persistent in prayer. God wants us to pray to him, he wants to know when we have a bad day and when we have a good day, he wants to hear and answer our prayers. Jesus knows that it is easy to lose heart, especially when we do not receive the answer we are looking for. Jesus wants us to stay in touch with God telling him what we want and need and to be open to the answer God gives to us. When you pray each day tell God little things, big things, just tell him all about your day. God will hear us, God will answer us, God will fill our hearts and provide for our needs. This week compose a simple prayer as a family, it can be for someone or prayer of thanks, whatever you as a family feel moved to write. Pray it each day before meals or at bedtime.
