In today’s Gospel, Jesus is telling us that God is present to all of us, even during times of trouble. Jesus believed that God would always be with him and God was even through his death. As disciples of Jesus we should try to follow Jesus’ example and trust in God’s mercy and protection, even if our lives are not going so well. As a family, talk about the gospel, say to your children the even when bad things happen good things can come from the bad. Name a few bad things, a flat tire, some one is ill, a tornado etc. Then brainstorm on what good could come out of the bad. For example if some one is ill it can often draw a family closer together. The answer for last week’s question is Advent. Advent begins on December 3 and ends on December 23. Look for ideas to help you celebrate Advent with your children in the back of church and in the CRE Office. This weeks question: When does the Liturgical year begin? A) Jan 1 B) March 5 C) Dec 3 D) Dec 25
