Poinsettias for the Homebound
By St Mary Administrator @ 11:54 AM :: 238 Views :: Article Rating :: RCIA News

Each year, as part of Advent, parishioners have the opportunity to share with the homebound of the parish. Next weekend, envelopes will be placed in the pews, for donation of money, to be used towards the purchase of poinsettias for those who are Homebound or in nursing homes from our parish. And again, because of parishioner generosity (last Advent/Christmas), we collected enough money to buy flowers for all Catholics (not necessarily parishioners) who are in a nursing home, or who are homebound, and are on the Communion list. Each poinsettia costs $5.50, but any amount will be greatly appreciated. On December 15-16, parishioners will be invited to pick up a plant and deliver poinsettias to homebound members of the parish, during that week. If you know of a parishioner that needs to be placed on the list, please call Mary McHugh or the parish office.
