Today is the first Sunday of Advent. One of the many things you can do as a family to mark the days until Jesus’ birthday is to make an Advent wreath. The wreath should be made of simple greens and four candles 3 purple and 1 pink. This week light a purple candle the candle of “hope”. Talk about the angel Gabriel’s special job as a messenger, telling Mary that she would be the mother of our Savior Jesus if she said yes. Talk to your children about Mary’s choice to say yes and how she must have felt. Let them know that Mary could have said no and what that would have meant to us. Then pray together as a family.
Last week’s answer is John the Baptist.
This week’s question Last Sunday was the last Sunday in the Liturgical year it is the (a) Baptism of the Lord (b) the Epiphany (c) Christ the King
