St. Ben’s clinic in Milwaukee is in desperate need of warm underwear and socks. This is a clinic that tends to the needs of homeless men and women (90% men); not only homeless from Milwaukee, but surrounding areas where there aren’t any shelters. They do not have a means to launder their clothing other than, perhaps, a rest room or a place to dry them quickly, so, they need at least two pair of both. Along with the underwear and socks, they need gloves and caps. Men’s jackets in larger sizes are also welcome.
Ozaukee Advocates for battered women in Saukville is also in need of women’s and children’s underwear and socks.
Over two thousand year ago, Mary and Joseph were told that there was “no room in the inn”. I would hope that you find room in your hearts to help out these people in need.
At this time, the collection sites are: Grafton Public Library, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Grafton and Freedom Physical Therapy, Dakota St., Grafton.
