This week’s question is From the Our Father “Forgive us our trespasses… ( a) whenever we sin (b) even if we can not forgive others (c) as we forgive those who trespass against us (d) and peace to people on earth. Last week’s answer is (d) all of these

This is the 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time the color of Ordinary Time is green. The Gospel reading is from John he talks about John the Baptist recognizing Jesus as the Son of God as he walked toward him. “Behold the Lamb of God” John the Baptist knew he was supposed to prepare the way for Jesus. That is why he was baptizing people in the river, that is why when Jesus told him it was necessary for John to baptize him he did it even though he felt he was not good enough to carry his sandals John did as he was asked. He prepared the way for Jesus by obeying him and witnessing for him.
This week talk about ways that we all can prepare the way and testify for Jesus. With Jesus as our guide and light there are many things we can do. Have each person in your family talk about one thing they can do this week to be a witness for Jesus, write it down and at the end of the week look back at what is written and see if it was accomplished. If not do not fret, try again the next week. Use “Ordinary Time to recognize that God is a part of our lives every day.
