Last week’s answer is forgive us our trespasses… ( c ) as we forgive those who trespass against us. This week’s question The number of times Jesus told Peter that he needed to forgive was (a) 7 (b) 10 (c) 100 (d) 70x7
This week we learn about James, John, Simon (called Peter) and Andrew being called to be disciples of Jesus. Jesus saw them and bid them to come with him, they dropped their nets and followed him. They became “fishers of men” The men did not hesitate, they did not know what was in store for them, however, they were willing to leave their families and their family businesses to follow Jesus. That took a great amount of faith. Their resolve to follow must have grown as they saw Jesus preach and perform miracles. This week talk as a family about how you can become “fishers of men.” We all can be fishermen you know, when we go to church, behave in a Christian way, we are telling others just what Jesus means to us. Tell Jesus you love him and ask him to show you a way to be a “fisher of men.” And remember if your faith wavers just keep on trying, the disciples especially Peter wavered form time to time, but it did not stop Jesus from loving him and helping him to be a true disciple.
