Parish Council Minutes January 3, 2008

Continuing Business:
-CAPS: The first official meeting will be January 16 in the computer room at St. Peters. The four members from St. Mary's are: Fr. Tom, Doug Miller, Barb Roob & Denise Murre
-Bus. Administrator Report: The Archdiocese has requested that we increase our Stewardship Appeal parish goal from $29,000 to $31,000. We would rather not increase the amount at this time.
-We have closed on the loan for the renovation of Anita's Garden. Our monthly payment will be $1600 for the first three years, then will be reviewed. Current interest rate is 7%.
-The attorneys that were solicited to handle the Marion Heights case have indicated they will work on an hourly basis at a rate of $85-$300/hour. Kim is getting some opinions from some local attorneys.
-A non-parishioner has made a generous donation to St. Mary's. Overall, collections have improved somewhat over the last few months. Amy Jo sends thank you notes to any non-parishioner that puts a check in the collection basket.
-There have been a few heating issues at Anita's Garden, but a simple fix should rectify the situation soon.
