Earned Income Tax Credit: Do You Qualify?

The Earned Income Credit (EIC) is a refund amount for working people who earn low or moderate incomes. You must file a federal tax return with the EIC form. Refund amounts can be up to $3,000. Both single and married people who worked during 2007 may qualify for this tax credit, depending on the income earned. Call the Internal Revenue Service at 1-800-829-1040 or the Wisconsin Department of Revenue at 608-266-2772 to learn more.
