Child Abuse Prevention

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Office of Pastoral Care and Conciliation of the Province of St. Joseph of the Capuchin Order and the Office of Sexual Abuse Prevention and Response Services of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee are currently working together to create a Healing Garden located at St Martin de Porres Parish on Milwaukee’s North Side.
We need volunteers to begin the clearing/deconstruction phase of the project. Please join us at St. Martin de Porres, 3114 N. 2nd St. in Milwaukee on Saturday April 26th, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm as we celebrate the spirit of healing and begin to clear out the old growth and make room for the new. There will be a dedication and planting ceremony on the evening of June 7th to which you are also invited to attend.
