Children’s Corner

Last week’s answer, is to stand up, if we are not already standing when the priest says “Let us pray” this is our cue to do so. This week’s question is.
“In the beginning was the Word” is the opening of the gospel of (a) Matthew (b) Mark (c) Luke (d) John
Today in the gospel Jesus speaks of a person building his house on a rock; the winds blow against it, but the house does not fall down, because it has been solidly built on rock. This is how our faith should be. When we listen to God’s word we should act upon those words. Through living according to Jesus’ teachings we build a solid foundation that will sustain us when the winds of difficulty blow through our lives.
This week talk about something you can do to strengthen your “foundation’ and then act on it. Visit someone in a nursing home, offer to weed or plant flowerbeds for someone, the list is endless, and you will feel great helping out another person.
