We Need Help!!!

I know you have heard this several times in the past, but the parish is having MAJOR financial problems. We are 2 1/2 months behind ($54,000) in our payments to Port Catholic on top of unpaid phone, electric and water bills, and other miscellaneous bills. Summer is always a tough time for the parish. Childcare expenses increase because kids aren't in school. It's hot out, so people would prefer to go to a church with air conditioning. I could go on with potential reasons for the decrease in contributions over the summer months. I am a nervous wreck because on top of the normal summer slump, the detour makes it difficult to get here and gas prices are at an all time high. So, what's the solution? I don't know. If you are reading this, you are probably one of the families who don't need to be told this because you are at church and giving what you can to the parish. But how do I contact those families who aren't in church? How can I express to those people that although God asks for your first fruits, he always provides if you have faith? Can you talk to them for me? Find out why they don't come to church. See if they can find $10 a month to contribute. Will it save us? No, but it is a good start. Thank You
