Last week’s answer Paul was not a friend of Christians, he hated them. He persecuted the Jews and helped to capture them to be punished.
This week’s question What was Paul’s occupation (a) shepherd (b) tentmaker (c) neither
Today Jesus tells us a story of God being a farmer and us being the soil and the seed being God’s word. Sometimes we are like the rocks, God’s word is given to us, but because we are hard and selfish we do not accept it. Sometimes we are like the shallow soil; we accept God’s word and are joyful about it, but then we do not do anything to nourish the word so that it grows in us, or we may allow weeds such as greed to take over. Sometimes and hopefully most of the time we are like the fertile field; we receive God’s word and let it grow deep and strong in our hearts, then we can produce the goodness we were meant too.
This week talk about how each of you can be the field that nurtures God’s word, then go out and act on the ways you can grow in God’s word.
Have a blessed week.
