| A LIVING SAINT?? So called by Archbishop Dolan, Bishop Abraham Desta of Ethiopia will be interviewed at Marquette University on Monday, October 20th at the Monaghan Ballroom of the Alumni Memorial Union. There will be a reception at 6:30 pm with program to begin at 7:00 pm. Bishop Desta’s diocese is at the spear-point of the Global Food Crisis and faces massive shortages and a deadly, potentially widespread famine. His diocese is 99% Muslim. His far-reaching social service and development outreach serves all and has focused in the areas of water and education. Bishop Desta will be interviewed by Catholic Relief Services, his partner in doing God’s work. Come and learn more of the plight of the truly poor and how our Church responds. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served. |
