CAPS—Catholic Association of Port Washington & Saukville—our planning group from our parish councils met on October 22nd. We continued our discussion regarding how best to ease the administrative burdens of the priests when our cluster is reduced to two priests next June. The group agreed on a proposal that will be brought before all three parish councils for approval. If approved, we will move forward with the hiring of a Director of Administrative Services. This individual would begin when Father Karl retires after June 30, 2009. The primary responsibility for this person will be to manage the administrative affairs of the parishes. A Director of Administrative Services will allow our priests to better serve the Lord and to provide the time to exercise their priestly ministry for the parishioners of our three parishes.

As always, if you have ideas to bring the three parishes closer together and help foster a spirit of sharing please talk to a member of your parish council.
