Parish Mission: The Next Step

"Spreading the Good News" should be an on-going action in our lives. This action finds its basis in our relationships with God and each other. Growing these relationships is the challenge. One way to continue growth in our relationship with God is to grow in our experience of prayer. An Advent "Next Step": Praying with Scripture. Two methods of praying with scripture will be taught during Advent. On November 22 and 23, pick up the Catholic Update "Advent Day by Day – Rest Stops for a Rushed People." This contains the daily scripture readings plus a handout explaining the two prayer methods. You may practice on your own, or come to any of these group sessions where both methods will be taught and demonstrated. Each session will focus on different scripture passages, so you may attend all 3 sessions if you like. Sessions will last 1 hour.
Session 1: Wednesday December 3, 6:30 PM at St. Mary Parish Center or Thur. December 4, 9:00 AM at Immaculate Conception lower level meeting room.
Session 2: Saturday, December 6, 9:00 AM at St. Peter Day chapel.
Session 3: Wed. December 10, 6:30 PM at St. Mary Parish Center or Thursday December 11, 9:00 AM at Immaculate Conception lower level meeting room.
