Giving a Year of Service

Interested in Giving a Year of Service to the Church in the United States & Guyana as a Lay Volunteer? Mercy Volunteer Corps, a lay volunteer program sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, provides opportunities to for men and women over the age of 21 to give a year of service to those in need. The emphasis of the program is service, community and prayer. Volunteer possibilities include teaching or nursing, working in homeless shelters, clinics and social service agencies in urban and rural settings throughout the Unites States & Guyana. Room, board, medical insurance and a small stipend are provided. Loan deferments are available.
