What color will Father be wearing during Ordinary Time?

As we begin Ordinary Time think about all the ordinary things you do each day, you go to school, you do homework, you play, hang out with your friends, and do chores. Sounds ordinary doesn’t it? But what if you did not do some of these things? If you did not go to school and do homework you would not receive an education. If you did not play and hang out with friends your life would be pretty dull. If you did not do your chores your life at home wouldn’t be as smooth. How about mom and dad? If they did not provide you food and shelter, you would be homeless and hungry. If they did not show you right from wrong, how would you be able to grow into a good person? It’s the same with Ordinary Time in the Church Year. It gives us a chance to know that God is around us all the time, not only during the special Season’s of Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter. So take this time to think about how lucky we are to have “Ordinary Time” that is not so ordinary after all.

Have a blessed week.
