Easter Flowers For the Homebound

| Today, parishioners have the opportunity to pick up and deliver sometime this week, Easter flowers, a Palm, a card made by 3rd and 4th grade students of Port Catholic and CRE, and a Sunday bulletin, to parishioners and area Catholics, who are homebound, or in a nursing home. There are a number of Catholics who made their home in Port to be closer to their children, are now in a nursing home, and whose “home” parish is not St. Mary’s or St. Peter’s. But, they are on the communion visit list at the nursing home. By distributing Easter flowers to all nursing home Catholics, and homebound parishioners, the Human Concerns Committee felt that it would be a great way to spread our mission of outreach, and remember fellow Catholics at this very special and holy time of the Church year. Consider making a Lenten visit. |
