Entering Teresa’s Castle will be held Friday – Sunday, February 20-22, 2009 at the Racine Dominican Retreat Program, located at Siena Center, 5635 Erie Street, Racine, WI 53402. Teresa of Avila wrote her spiritual classic, Interior Castle, in 1577 to explain to her nuns what they might experience in their prayer. She described the soul as a beautiful diamond-like castle with seven mansions, and the doorway—prayer—opens one up to greater self-knowledge and union with God.
