Happy Birthday Bach

Saturday, March 21 will mark the 324th anniversary of the birth of J. S. Bach. St. Mary’s will observe this event with a concert of his music, including Sonata 6 and the G minor Fantasie and Fugue for organ, movements of the 5th French Suite for harpsichord, and vocal music. Our Girl’s Choir will be featured, and any donations will go to help both them and the Boychoir to participate in the Evening Prayer this July in Chicago in front of 2000+ church musicians from across the country, sponsored by Pueri Cantores.
The concert this summer will include a number of children’s choirs from around the Midwest, but ours will be the only children’s choirs from Wisconsin. Since this is by invitation only, it is quite an honor, and speaks well of the reputation the St. Mary’s children’s choirs have.
