Children’s Corner

The answer to last week’s question is John.
This week’s question is. The Christian family can be referred to as (a) the domestic church (b) communion of saints (c) temple of the Holy Spirit.
This week John talks about darkness and light. He talks about the Good News of Jesus coming into the world to shed light on our sins so that we may be forgiven. It is the reason we look forward to the Resurrection.
This week as a family take a few moments to sit in a dark room, sit quietly. After a few moments light a candle. Then talk about what it felt like to be in a dark place and how it felt when there was light. What can you see in the dark? How much more were you able to see by the candle? Now turn on all the lights in the room, now how much can you see? Pause for a moment and then thank Jesus for bringing the light into the world for us.
