Flowers for the Homebound
By St Mary Administrator @ 12:57 PM :: 245 Views :: Article Rating :: Human Concerns

This weekend, as part of Palm Sunday, parishioners have the opportunity to deliver Easter flowers, a Palm, a card made by Port Catholic students, and a Sunday bulletin, to parishioners who are homebound, or in a nursing home. Because the response for the donation request at Christmas, for poinsettias, was so overwhelming, we have enough money for Easter flowers for all Catholics in nursing homes in Port. By distributing Easter flowers to the 160 nursing home Catholics, and homebound parishioners, it is a great way to spread our mission of outreach, and remember fellow Catholics at this very special and holy time of the Church year. If you know of a homebound parishioner that should be on the list, please call Linda Gottlieb 262-284-7288 or the parish office right away, so that we can get them an Easter visit. All the Catholics in nursing homes, that are in Port, are already on the list. Thanks from Human Concerns.
