The City of Port Washington is in the process of finalizing re-development plans for the St. Mary’s neighborhood. The proposal would narrow the surrounding streets and eliminate street parking on one side of most streets (E. Van Buren and N. Johnson St. included.) The majority of neighbors feel that it would increase the already existing problem of lack of street parking, especially during church and school functions. If you have concerns or questions regarding the proposed plan, you are asked to call your Alderman or City Hall. The plans are being presented for final approval at the next Board of Public Works meeting on Tuesday April 14 at 7:00 PM and it is open to the public.
