Prayer for our Mission Trip

33 Students and 7 adults from the area parishes will be traveling to Lexington, KY from June 28- July 3 to attend a Catholic Heart Workcamp In Lexington, Catholic Heart Workcamp serves those in need by feeding children what is sometimes their only meal of the day, painting and repairing the homes of the elderly, helping refugees move into the community, working with teens who are dealing with crisis pregnancies, and much more. The focus is on relationship building and the hope is to build strong ones with each other, new friends and God as they give up a week of their summer to serve others. May God richly bless them for their sacrifice!
This trip has proved to be a life changing experience for many of the youth and adults involved. We ask that you pray for these students and chaperones so that they will have a safe trip and that the experience will touch the hearts of all concerned: those who are serving and those who will be served.
Please remember to keep the mission trip participants in your prayers
Come Holy Spirit. Kindle the hearts of all who are serving on the mission trip this week and bless those who will be served. Keep them safe on their journey and at their worksites. Let them see that they are the hands and faces of our Lord Jesus Christ. Open their eyes so they may see the face of God in the people they are serving. Strengthen their hearts so they will continue to serve him in order to promote the Reign of God here on earth.
