Alfons Gallery, located in St. Joseph Center in Milwaukee, will host a mixed media exhibit entitled, “Varied Voices” by African-Americans Beginning to Educate Americans About African-American Art (or ABEA). The exhibit features the work of 14 artists.
The opening reception is Sunday, August 2 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM and will include poetry by Blanche Brown, Marcelles Brown, Carmen Murguia, Lee Marati and others. The exhibit runs through September 27, and is free and open to the public. The School Sisters of St. Francis St. Joseph Center is located at 1501 S. Layton Blvd. in Milwaukee.
