Scrip News!!!

I have some very exciting scrip news. You can now purchase Visa gift cards in either $25, $50 or $100 denominations at 2% earnings! Now you have the option of American Express or Visa. Another reason the Visa card is so worth while is because you can get them in the smaller denominations.
American Express is available in $100 at 1.25% where Visa will be 2%. These cards open the door for you to use scrip for just about anything now! You could buy what you normally spend in your monthly living expenses and cover just about everything ~ gas, food, bills such as phone, WE Energies, cable ~ you name it the possibilities are endless!
It's good to keep in mind that even after your children graduate from Port Catholic and move into high school, you can and should keep using scrip since you can use your proceeds for any school your child goes to any public or private school, pre-school to college. Even after your children are out of school, you can use your earnings for church donations or your grandchildren's education.
There is always a great reason to use scrip! A huge thank you to you all who are doing your part already and use scrip. If you haven't gotten around to making this change yet, now is a great time to start. In these financially challenging times it is crucial we do whatever we can to save for ourselves and for Port Catholic and St. Mary’s, and scrip is such a great way to do it since it doesn't cost you anything more than you would spend anyway. I am also working on getting some more local businesses into our program, so I'll keep you updated.
