CAPS Report
By St Mary Administrator @ 3:50 PM :: 223 Views :: Article Rating :: Church News

Last week Wednesday our CAPS committee (Catholic Association of Port Washington & Saukville) met, and we had a great discussion. The CAPS committee is a subcommittee of our three parish councils charged with helping our parishes move forward amid the changes in priest personnel.

Items discussed: A brief review of the new mass schedule (this will be further reviewed in the coming months); a committee formed to put together a common personnel policy for our three parishes; is there common software our parishes should be using to help us understand our finances better and how we interrelate to one another; proposal for an internal financial control review for the three parishes; how can we communicate better with each other—one bulletin—shared website; and a proposal that the three parish councils meet on one night, starting together in prayer and to take care of business in common and then breaking off to take care of individual parish business. (And all this took place in two hours).

There is a lot of energy in this group we hope to tap into as we move forward as a parish cluster.
Members of the CAPS committee:
St. Peter reps: Kevin Tydrick, Bob Peiffer, Dan Olivier
St. Mary reps: Doug Miller, Denise Murre, Bill Henkle
Immaculate Conception reps: Michelle Clasen, Jerry Didier, Joe Roden
And your priest team: Father Pat and Father Tom.
Contact any of us with your questions or concerns.
