The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Milwaukee invites you to participate in 2nd Walk for the Poor. Thousands nationwide and hundreds in Milwaukee will support people battling poverty by participating in The Walk for the Poor on September 26, the feast of St. Vincent de Paul. The morning begins with an optional 9:30 AM Mass at St. Francis Seminary, 3257 S. Lake Drive, St. Francis. The one- or three-mile walk along the Oak Leaf Trail begins at 10:15 AM, with Joyce Garbaciak of WISN-12 presiding over opening ceremonies. Join family, friends, neighbors, parishioners, co-workers, and Milwaukee’s famous Klement’s racing sausages for free food, fun, and entertainment. And don’t forget to relax after your walk with complementary chair massages! Visit www.svdpmilw.org, or call SVDP at 414-462-7837 to get involved. All pledges and donations will help provide food, clothing, furniture, and basic aid for high poverty areas in Milwaukee. Don’t miss this chance to be part of the poverty solution!
