Ever wonder what happens to the money we earn by selling the stuff you give to us at our thrift store? Here’s how we used it between December 8, 2008 and February 19, 2009 within all of Ozaukee County.

Clothing $2,999.12
Furniture $9,629.00
Linens $595.25
Toys $136.15
Household $531.07
New Items $937.68
Energy Assistance $11,085.07
Temp Housing $1,304.80
Other Assistance $54.57

Included in the above is our own St. Mary/St. Peter conference for which the figures are $1,425.00 for energy assistance and $2,348.99 for all other categories. The clothing, furniture, linens, toys and household items are things that have been given to us. The dollar amounts are based on the values we placed on them had we sold them instead of giving them away. Not included in the above are the amounts we give during our personal home visits here in Port. Sorry, I don’t have those numbers as I write this rather impromptu report. Watch for the next installment.
