Our CAPS (Catholic Association of Port Washington & Saukville) met last Wednesday evening. We spend some time preparing for the combined parish councils meeting on Wednesday November 4. This is a trial run of the recommendation from CAPS to meet on the same night at the same place to facilitate communication among the three parishes and to help your priests reduce the number of meeting nights they need to commit to during a month. We will also be meeting together in December. The councils will start together, cover any business that pertains to the three parishes, and then break off into the individual councils to deal with their own agendas.
A discussion on how to proceed with the Mass schedule evaluation: we will look for feedback from the councils and liturgy committees, look at the numbers for the past months, and have some direction by the December meeting. Continued talking about better communication: shared web site, a common bulletin (we had an example of a three-parish cluster’s common bulletin-with lots of positive comments). We continue to talk about how to make the parish cluster work well.
Last week’s Mass attendance: St. Peter: Saturday 4:00 PM—488, Sunday 10:30 AM—356 St. Mary: Sunday 9:00 AM—342, 11:00 AM—231 Immaculate Conception: Saturday 5:00 PM -213, Sunday 8:30 AM -218
