Scrip Update

Just wanted to share with you where we are in scrip sales for our first 1/3 of our fiscal year. In these past 4 months we have earned $5,965.80. At this rate, our projected earnings for the 2009/2010 school year are about $17,900. That would be a bit better than what we did last year ($17,592), but we could do so much better if everyone would participate. Using scrip is really just a habit you need to get into, and once you're doing it, you'll wonder what took you so long to "get with the program". I speak from experience! My goal is to have every school family and every parish member/family just try it one time. It could be as small as purchasing a $5.00 certificate for The Chancery or a $10.00 card for Arby's. If after that "trial use" you decide never to use scrip again, at least you tried it. But I really can't see that being the case. Why not let the stores and retailers we patronize give a percentage back to us. That is all scrip is. If you were going to spend $10.00 at Sentry, why not use a gift certificate instead of using cash or charging it. Please think about it! With the holidays quickly approaching, now is the perfect time to give this a shot. A gift certificate is the perfect gift! Your loved one gets to shop for exactly what they want without the hassle of returning a gift they really didn't want. Please call me or email me if there is anything I can do to help you with this.
