Poinsettias for the Homebound
By St Mary Administrator @ 11:39 AM :: 210 Views :: Article Rating :: Human Concerns

Each year, as part of Advent, parishioners have the opportunity to share with the homebound of the parish. This weekend, December 12-13, envelopes will be placed in the pews, for donation of money, to be used towards the purchase of poinsettias for the 200 who are homebound or in nursing homes from our tri-cluster parish. And again, because of parishioner generosity (last Advent/Christmas), we collected enough money to buy flowers for all Catholics, who are in a nursing home, who are homebound, or who are on the Communion list. Each poinsettia costs $5 but any amount will be greatly appreciated. On December 19-20, parishioners will be invited to pick up a plant and deliver poinsettias to the 200 homebound members of our tri-cluster parish, during that week. If you know of a parishioner that needs to be placed on the list, please call Mary McHugh at 262-284-4266 or the parish office or 262-284-5771. Many thanks from your Human Concerns Committee.
