Thank you to everyone in the parish who so generously supported our young people and adults who attended the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in November in Kansas City. It was a phenomenal, life changing event full of prayer, music, learning, fellowship and fun along with 22,000 plus other young Catholics from across the country. Below is a brief reflection from one of the teens who attended, Elizabeth Gerrits: NCYC was one of the most amazing experiences anyone could ever have. Throughout the three days we went to different workshops and discussions about our faith and how we can apply it to our everyday lives. At this conference there were over 23,000 teens from all around the U.S. When walking around either the arena or convention center you never saw the same face twice! It was amazing to know that teens all over the country love God just like you do. There was no need to worry about being the only one because everyone was there for the same reasons. If you ever have the opportunity to attend this conference, don’t pass it up; it will be amazing.
