Interested in Giving a Year of Service to the Church in the United States as a Lay Volunteer?

Are you looking for a meaningful post-graduate commitment? Looking for a career change? Taking a new look at retirement? Feeling a call to serve others? Then think Mercy Volunteer Corps. Mercy Volunteer Corps is a year-long program, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, for women and men over the age of 21. The emphasis of the program is service, community and spirituality. Volunteer possibilities include working at a homeless shelter, clinic, children’s programs, social service agencies in both urban and rural areas and on Indian reservations. Room, board, medical insurance and a small stipend are provided. Student loan deferments are available. Volunteers are entitled to AmeriCorps Awards, as well.
