Please sign your family up—back of church or phone/e-mail below. Kids can volunteer (ages 5-18). I need the age of all kids. A reminder e-mail/phone call will be done closer to the event with other information –place, directions, etc. Volunteers DO NOT have to live in Ozaukee County to help/donate.
Our parish cluster human concerns committee is spearheading this wonderful Ozaukee County project. The meal is a formula designed by food scientists—rice, soy protein, 20 vitamins and minerals, dehydrated vegetables, and vegetarian chicken flavor. One meal costs only 17 cents, and we plan to pack and ship 100,000 meals from Ozaukee County. It takes 500 volunteers to pack 100,000 meals. We also need to another raise $11,000 to pay for the meals.
The volunteer packing will take place at Portal Industries, in Grafton, on April 8-10, 2010. The meals are prayed over, by the volunteers, before being shipped, asking for God's protection, and blessing for the shipment. Fifteen volunteers can pack 4,000 meals in just two hours!
With your help, we will show how God works through this event. I hope that you will be able to join us in this extraordinary project. For further information about the project, please contact phone (home 262-284-7288, cell 414-688-6462).
