Thank you-Thank you-Thank you

17,600 pounds of food, 600 volunteers, 121,000 meals packed over 3 days (21,000 more than originally planned). Over $21,000 raised—the extra $4,000 donated paid for the extra 21,000 meals packed.

One tiny glitch—a ton of rice slowly tipped off the pallet! Fortunately, the bag was sealed, and the expert team from FMSC knew how to get it back on the pallet.

United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay sent 60 volunteers on Saturday (and donated money). They would like to do this event next year, at Portal, and Portal Industries is thrilled. So are we, our parish cluster Human Concerns Committee, would like to alternate with the Methodist church, in putting on the Feed My Starving Children packing event. Working with Portal and the young team from FMSC (ages 24-28) was absolutely wonderful. Palermo Pizza will be doing a packing event in September, at Concordia University. We will keep you posted on upcoming packing dates.

With ALL of your help, we showed how God worked through this event. Thank you to those who joined us for these extraordinary days, and to the donors who made it all possible, by your most generous contributions. Gratefully, your Human Concerns Committee.
