The first Mass of Fr. Tom Neitzke, SJ will be held on June 12 2010 at 4:30 PM at St. Mary’s Church, Port Washington
It has been sometime since I have been back in Port Washington but I am very excited to come back to celebrate my First Mass at St. Mary’s as a Jesuit priest! As many of you know I grew up in Port Washington and went to St. Mary's grade school (I was the last class to graduate from St. Mary's before it turned into Port Catholic) I went to Port High and then entered the College Seminary for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and a few years later in 1999 I entered the Jesuits. After 11 years of formation I will be ordained a Jesuit priest on June 11, 2010 at Gesu Church in Milwaukee.
I am very excited to come back to Port for my First Mass and would like it to be a celebration with all of you and the larger the parish community that nurtured my vocation to the priesthood. I grew up at St. Mary’s with Frs. Glass, Van Beek, McCarthy, Amann and Biersack and Sr. Mary Faith, Sr. Francita (my first grade teacher, who said she would be coming) Ms. Dohms and many other great teachers who taught me the faith and love for the Church. It is my hope that the larger parish community in Port Washington will be able to celebrate this special day with me! I look forward to seeing you at St. Mary’s on June 12 at 4:30 PM for my First Mass.
