Prayer for our Maryland Youth Mission Trip

44 youth and young adults and 8 adults from the area parishes will be traveling to Prince Frederick, MD from July 10-17 on a mission trip. They will be doing things like light home repair for the elderly including painting, yard work and other tasks as needed; work with agencies that provide help to the mentally and physically handicapped; and other projects in the community as needed. This trip has proved to be a life changing experience for many of the youth and adults involved. We ask that you pray for these students and chaperones so that they will have a safe trip and that the experience will touch the hearts of all concerned: those who are serving and those who will be served.
Please remember to keep the mission trip participants in your prayers
Come Holy Spirit. Kindle the hearts of all who are serving on the mission trip this week and bless those who will be served. Keep them safe on their journey and at their worksites. Let them see that they are the hands and faces of our Lord Jesus Christ. Open their eyes so they may see the face of God in the people they are serving. Strengthen their hearts so they will continue to serve him in order to promote the Reign of God here on earth.
