Youth Mission Trip Registration Now Due!

Youth mission trips are immersion experiences with other young people from across the country in underprivileged communities, usually for several days to a week. During the time spent on the mission trip the participants contribute their time and talents by house painting, light construction including home repair and building, child care, working in a food pantry – wherever the greatest need is in the community. In the evenings, there is time for fellowship, reflection, prayer as well as fun! One free day is available to the groups to explore the area in which they are working.

The parishes of Immaculate Conception, St. Peter’s and St. Mary’s in collaboration with the parishes of Random Lake, Fredonia and Belgium, will be offering two opportunities for youth to be part of this exciting ministry. The first trip in June, open to all current seventh graders and older will be in Mishawaka, IN. The second trip in July, open to current ninth graders and older, will be in Kansas City. All trips are through Catholic Heart Work Camp. The bulk of the expense will be raised through fundraising activities of those attending the trips. Space is limited so act fast! For more information, contact the Youth Ministry office at 262-284-2102 ext. 15 or portyouth@catholic.org. Registration forms are also available at www.portyouth.org.
