Last week’s answer we celebrated the Feast of Christ the King. Probably the most familiar symbol of Advent is the Advent Wreath. It is usually made from evergreen boughs and has three purple or blue candles and one pink one. The first candle will be lit on the Advent Wreath in church this week. The wreath’s circle shape has many positive meanings, it symbolizes equality, never-ending love, eternity…can you think of any more? Advent is a good time to take a look at our lives and make changes to make us better Christians. Each week write down any changes you need to make to be ready to meet Baby Jesus on Christmas Day. If you would like more information on Advent please feel free to stop in or call Denise in the Religious Ed Office at St. Mary’s 262-284-6472.
