By St Mary Administrator @ 8:13 AM :: 144 Views :: Article Rating :: RCIA News

The District 10 Christian Formation ministers invite all Parents, Grandparents, Teachers, Catechists and anyone interested in the well-being elementary and middle school children to It’s Time: Addressing Mental Health of Children presented by InHealth Wisconsin on Tuesday, January 25th* from 7:00PM-9:00PM at St. Joseph’s Parish, 1619 Washington St., Grafton.

Mental health is a strong predictor of school success. Parents and educators have daily opportunities to positively impact the mental health of young children. To do so, they must understand the clues that a child’s behavior gives about their current mental state, the impact of mental illness or trauma on a child within the context of their culture and what elements are essential to supporting mental well -being and learning. Through the use of film case studies from real classrooms and stories from school personnel and parents, participants explore topics in a safe and engaging environment.

*If cancelled due to weather, the alternate date will be Tuesday, February 1st
