Today we hear the story of the Transfiguration. Jesus takes some of his friends to a mountain and his appearance changes completely. A voice came from heaven and said "This is my Son. Listen to him.” Lent is a time for us to grow in our faith, we can become closer to Jesus and we should think about and remember all he has done for us. This week buy or make traditional knotted pretzels. Pretzels are an old fashioned Lenten snack. They were made without sugar or fat, something that people were not allowed to eat during Lent in times past. Many people still give up sweet, rich treats for Lent, so it is still a good Lenten snack. It is also said that the twist of the pretzels represents arms folded in prayer.
This week's questions: Who was not with Jesus on the mountain top? (a) Peter (b) James (c) John (d) Paul. Listen to the Gospel to find the answer to this question.
Have a blessed week!
