Jr Human Concerns is having an Aluminum Can Drive the weekend of August 6 & 7. You can drop off before and after Mass. Look for the can barrel at I.C., the white pick up at St. Mary's, and the trailer at St. Peter's. This time the money will go to someone very close to home. Kameron Johnson, the son of Brian and Jennie Johnson, has been at Children's Hospital, Milwaukee since June 1st. He is recovering from basilar meningitis and a stroke. Brian and Jenny are familiar faces to the parishes, they have two older children who attend Port Catholic and are very involved in parish and school life. Brian is an usher at St. Peter's and they both work tirelessly at the Fish Fry's and other school and parish activities. Kameron has to learn to sit, eat, walk, and talk again. He has made good progress, but the road to recovery will be a long one. Please drop off your cans to help out this great family. If you don't have any cans, cash donations will be gladly accepted. You can drop it at the drop offs or put it in the collection basket. Please mark it for the Johnson Family and make checks to Brian or Jennie Johnson. 100% collected will go to the Johnson's. Thanks, and please keep the family in your prayers. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer to help with the can drive please call Denise Murre at 284-6472 or (262) 573-2888.
