Thank You for the New Chair’s

An expression of appreciation is warranted for the Christian Women’s Society and the Men’s Club members who participated in the purchase and the delivery of 200 new folding chairs for the cafeteria at the St Mary’s campus - Port Catholic School. The Men’s Club and the Christian Women’s Society shared the cost. An individual donation toward the purchase was made by Joyce Schmit in memory of her husband, Vernon Schmit. Participants were Mary Jo Bichler, Marie Strauss Michele Schmitz, Marie Zirbes and Sue Bruner of the Christian Women’s Society who worked on chair selection and purchasing details. Men’s Club members, Joe Millonzi, Jim Russell, Don Ryer, and Herman Schanen provided trucks and the manpower needed for the delivery the of chairs to the school during some very hot and humid weather. Additional help was provided by Dan Paulin, Rich Bichler and Ken Bruner. A special thanks to Gene Meyer for his coordination of the events!
